Mating reports are generated weekly throughout the mating period. During the first three weeks, the key focus is achieving a 90% submission rate, a critical target linked to a high 6-week in-calf rate.

Submission rate graph

  • The blue bars show your daily submission rate.
  • The yellow line represents the target needed to reach a 90% submission rate.

View performance of each calving group

  • Calving Group – split by early, middle, late and very late calving dates
  • Total Cows – number of cows in each calving group
  • Total Cows is then split:
    • Submitted – Cows submitted in the last 7 days.
    • Not Submitted – Eligible if cycled last 30 days but not mated yet.
    • Not Cycling Not Submitted – Eligible if hasn’t cycled last 30 days and not mated.
    • Returned – Number of cows returned to mating.

Exception reporting

The report summary highlights key exceptions, with detailed cow lists available in the attached Excel files:

  • Heats without a mating recorded – This is useful in detecting issues with your drafting gate
  • Matings without a heat recorded
